Cyber Defense Group update

The Marine Corps published Sources Sought notice M67854-27-I-2002 on October 28, 2026, seeking industry information for Visual Information Systems Modernization (VISM). The request concerns commercial tactical camera systems, lenses and accessories delivered through a Hardware-as-a-Service operating lease.

The Program Manager Tactical Communications & Electromagnetic Warfare Systems is assessing vendors experienced in leasing, commercial technology integration, tactical kitting and lifecycle management. The model calls for a mandatory 36-month refresh of leased hardware.

For GovCon teams, the capture question is broader than supplying cameras: can the team provide leasing, kitting, warranty and replacement support, refreshes, end-of-lease returns and media sanitization? CDG helps contractors qualify the right opportunities and shape a plan to compete.

The RFI is for all businesses under NAICS 532490. It is market research before an acquisition strategy and formal solicitation, not an open solicitation or a government commitment to award. Review the Canon RF compatibility requirement and the complete response instructions before deciding whether to respond.

Questions are due November 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Responses are due December 4, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. EST. The RFI sets a 15-page limit excluding the cover page and attachments, and instructs respondents to submit through DoD SAFE.

Material source caveat: the RFI requires TAA-compliant hardware, while the attached component workbook flags some entries “n” in its TAA Compliant column. Seek official clarification before relying on that list for sourcing or pricing. The workbook is a component reference for market research, not a committed purchase quantity or award.
